Features include exceptional works of art such as the 14th century Virgin sculpted out of ivory in an elephant’s tusk. Also see the 14th century double-sided Virgin from the Nuremberg school, the tunic said to have belonged to “Innocent VI” (18th century) and a bead-decorated sacramental veil dating back to the 17th century. Paintings include works by Nicolas Mignard (Jesus at the Temple, 1649) and Philippe de Champaigne (The Visit, around 1644).
